The O gauge modular layout features models of the Lackawanna Railroad’s famed Tunkhannock Viaduct in Nicholson, PA., and the former New York Central RR  passenger station (1936-1962) in Syracuse. Member Tom Hancock (photo at right) built the viaduct. Jeff Paston built the station (see below). There is also a representation of the steam-era trackpans from Rome, NY, among other scenes.

The Central New York Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society invites you to enjoy, participate, and contribute to our railroad heritage through the Chapter’s Model Railroad Group. The Group operates its model railroad at special events, at the New York State Fair, and at the Great New York State Model Train Fair. At present, the group meets Thursday nights at its room behind the JR Junction hobby store on Erie Blvd. East in Syracuse.
(Always check ahead to ensure the group is meeting by calling 315-451-6551.)
